ORIGINS AND INVENTORY | MODULE 1
MODULE 1
There is no escaping this: Before you can affect positive change, you must become the change. How does this happen? By taking a step back and diving deeply into your core, where your fears, behaviors and biases lie you can get clarity around where you started. Then, by taking a step into the now and understanding your current ways you can begin to consciously and proactively rewrite your narrative.
During Module 1 You Will:
Discover your racial bias "origin story" as well as the filters and blindspots created
Acknowledge the existing, internalized stereotypes that impact your behavior
Identify bias patterns of speaking and listening that prevent you from making meaningful connections
Gain new communication practices that support more empathetic and positive relationship building
You Will Be Able To:
Build a framework for looking at your origin story that allows you to accept it for what it was while empowering you to write a new story based on who you are now or who you want to be
Identify the difference between your thinking and your reacting
Be in conversations you normally avoid and navigate through them powerfully
Connect with people in ways that build trust, mutual respect, and understanding
RELEASING SOCIAL AGREEMENTS THAT BIND | MODULE 2
